On the ocean after midnight

Date? No Idea. Time? After Midnight.
Everything is so slow. My head heavy, my eyes tired. We had sandwiches, carrots and olives for lunch, lovely decorated. I chew slowly, like a cow, a sea cow maybe. And suddenly there it is again, this interesting feeling, the loss of time and space: How many sandwiches have I eaten? One? Three? Seven? Since when am I sitting like a sea cow? Since one minute, one hour or maybe: have I always sat like this, chewing, tasting, not hungry, but interested in food?
Interesting. A bit scary feeling.
The ship makes lots of noises. It purrs like a cat, somehow, sometimes it growls like an angry dog. The rows sing songs. The water plashes constantly, sounds like inside a washing machine. Actually it often also feels like inside a washing machine. With a lot of fantasy and good will, it might also feel like in a cradle, or like an embryo in an uterus….and the ship singing an endless lullaby.
Pretty cheesy, huh?!
